You’re not going in there, are ya?’ the man queried.
‘The wharepaku?’ Pou frowned, eyeing the toilets.
‘No—the forest.’ the old man said, pointing at the trees with a trembling hand. ‘You’d be mad to go in there. I wouldn’t go near the place if I were you.’
‘Is that because it’s haunted?’ Pipi asked, with a friendly grin.
The elder’s face turned red. ‘It’s no joke missy,’ he growled.
