Nanny Mihi's mokopuna stay with her every school holidays.  When they arrive in spring she says, 'You are just in time to help me plant the garden.'

As the seasons pass the children learn about what grows when and what they can do with their harvest - and the most important lesson of all: never leave the gate to the garden open because Nanny's chickens are always hungry!
